In 2020, iShopChangi lost over 80% of its revenue as a result of the halt in global travel.

To bounce back, we rode the wave of shoppertainment.

And launched iShopathon, the first duty-free shopping festival in Singapore.

iShopathon Live

Livestreams were the centrepiece for the festival. iShopathon Live featured popular influencers giving out promo codes, doing product giveaways, showcasing key products, competing in challenges and doing forfeits.

Shop. Play. Win.

Viewers could win prizes, promo codes, and shop the products immediately via the livestream interface.

They could also head to the iShopathon campaign site to apply promo codes and check out their duty-free goods at even lower prices.

Each livestream was a different theme. There were 7 livestreams in total, with durations ranging from 45 mins to 2 hours.

The festival did so well, that it is now an annual affair with livestreams as an important component of the campaign.
