The beginning of the pandemic was a confusing time. We were stuck at home with not much to do and too much to keep track of (like changing regulations, newest tools for social distancing, latest pandemic news, etc.).

So we came up with a way to put a smile on Singaporeans’ faces, while helping them at the same time.

IAMACCB.sg: A one-stop resource that went viral during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak for its interesting use of colloquial expressions (vulgarities included) contrasted against its usefulness.

The lockdown in Singapore was referred to as a “Circuit Breaker”. CCB stands for Community Circuit Breaker, although it is more commonly known as a vulgarity in Hokkien.

The site housed useful links to tools including a clinic locator and mask collection locator.

During a time of fake news, people could find various sources for reliable news here.

We supported local businesses that were hit hard during the Circuit Breaker. The site was updated whenever a new business wanted to be featured.

When some restrictions were lifted, we updated the site with tools that users could use to get some fresh air.

Colloquial language was used throughout the site for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

IAMACCB.sg was regularly updated throughout the Circuit Breaker and beyond - even going from orange to blue in support of the #SeeItBlue campaign for mental health awareness during the pandemic.

Mental health was a huge concern during the pandemic.

We checked in with the community through a Mental Health Survey done in partnership with National University Health System Mind Science Centre (NUHS MSC).
